Installation & Torque Guidelines

Clean hub and rotor threads thoroughly. Apply a tiny smear of anti-seize paste to the thread flanks only (keep the ball seat dry to ensure proper friction coefficient). Thread bolts in by hand to ensure smooth thread engagement. Torque in a crisscross 5-lug star pattern (1-3-5-2-4) using a non-marring, plastic-sleeved 17mm socket with a calibrated manual torque wrench to factory VAG spec: typically 120–140 N·m (89–103 lb-ft, depending on vehicle chassis). Re-torque after initial 100 km of driving.
