Race-proven Aerospace Ti-6Al-4V Grade 5 titanium M6 hex flange bolts cross-drilled for safety lockwire, engineered specifically for motorcycle road racing, track-day tech inspection, brake caliper mounts, and competition powersports.

Pre-Drilled Safety Lockwire Architecture for Track Scrutineering

Sanctioning race organizations (FIM, AMA, MotoAmerica, CCS, WERA) strictly mandate positive mechanical locking via stainless steel safety wire on all critical chassis, brake, and oil retaining fasteners. Rather than risking broken drill bits and heat-damaged metal trying to hand-drill ultra-hard titanium, our M6 bolts are precision CNC cross-drilled through the hex flats with clean, deburred lockwire orifices that accept standard 0.025" to 0.032" stainless steel safety wire.

Dual Drive Design: Internal 5mm Hex & External 8mm Flange

Featuring a hybrid drive interface, this bolt accommodates both a standard 8mm external socket/box wrench and an internal 5mm Allen key. The 11.0mm wide integral flange functions as a built-in washer, dispersing clamping loads across soft aluminum engine cases, caliper brackets, or carbon mounts without surface galling or sinking.

Dual Thread Design for Maximum Joint Shear Rigidity

  • Lengths ≤ 25mm: Fully threaded for maximum thread engagement in shallow blind holes like water pump housings, clutch slave cylinders, and crankcase side covers.
  • Lengths > 25mm: Features a standardized ~25mm thread length paired with a smooth, unthreaded precision shank. The unthreaded shank bridges the critical shear plane across through-bolted mechanical assemblies, ensuring maximum shear area and superior resistance to cyclic vibration fatigue.

Aerospace Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) Strength & Weight Advantage

Precision CNC-machined from certified Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy, these fasteners achieve a minimum tensile strength of 950–1050 MPa (matching Class 10.9 high-tensile steel) while slashing weight by ~45% compared to OEM steel hardware. Titanium’s natural passivating oxide barrier ensures complete immunity to hot engine oil, synthetic coolant, road grime, and corrosive brake dust.

Key Applications

  • Motorcycles & Track Bikes: Brake caliper bracket fixings, oil gallery inspection plugs, water pump casing bolts, sprocket covers, footpeg rearsets, and front fork axle pinch clamps.
  • Karting & Formula Motorsport: Chain guard anchors, chassis nerf bar brackets, radiator mountings, and steering tie-rod hardware.
  • Downhill & Enduro Mountain Bikes: Post-mount brake caliper adapters, suspension linkage anchors, and shock eyelet hardware.

Installation & Torque Guidelines

Ensure female threads are clean and lubricated with a light coating of anti-seize paste or synthetic grease. Hand-thread initially to prevent cross-threading. Torque with a calibrated wrench to 9.0–11.0 N·m (80–97 in-lb), or follow vehicle manufacturer chassis torque specifications. Secure with stainless safety lockwire twisted in the direction that tightens the bolt under tension.
