Motorsport-grade Aerospace Ti-6Al-4V Grade 5 titanium M12 × 1.5mm 60° conical cone seat wheel lug bolts engineered for classic BMW E-chassis, performance track cars, and European sports coupes, offering a 45% rotational mass reduction over factory steel hardware.

Package Options & Vehicle Axle Configurations

  • Set of 5 (1 Wheel): 5-bolt package for single-wheel replacement, spare tire setup, or fitment testing.
  • Set of 10 (Front or Rear): 10-bolt package for one complete axle (front or rear 2 wheels).
  • Set of 20 (Full Car): 20-bolt complete car package for all 4 wheels on 5-lug classic BMW platforms.

Unsprung & Rotational Mass Reduction for Classic BMW Driving Dynamics

Renowned BMW sports coupes like the E30 M3, E36, and E46 M3 rely heavily on suspension agility and tactile road feedback. Replacing heavy factory steel lug bolts (~75–85 grams each) with Tianswer Grade 5 titanium wheel bolts (~36–42 grams each) removes approximately 800 grams of unsprung rotating mass across all four hubs. This reduction lowers rotational inertia at axle speed, allowing dampers to react quicker over track kerbs and rough pavement while enhancing tactile steering precision.

Precision 60° Conical Cone Seat & 17mm Hex Head

Accurately CNC-machined with a standard 60-degree taper cone seat, these bolts guarantee 100% concentric seating and uniform clamp load against factory BMW OEM alloy wheels and popular motorsport wheels (BBS, Apex ARC-8/FL-5, Enkei, Volk Racing, and OZ Racing). The 17mm external hex head provides full tool engagement with standard thin-wall automotive sockets, preventing scratched wheel finishes and rounded bolt corners.

Direct Fitment for Classic BMW E-Chassis & European Sports Cars

Engineered as a direct, precision drop-in replacement for European vehicles utilizing M12 × 1.5 wheel hubs with 60° cone seats, including:

  • BMW 3 Series: E30 (5-lug M3), E36 (318i, 325i, 328i, M3), E46 (323i, 325i, 328i, 330i, M3), E90 / E92 / E93 (328i, 335i, M3)
  • BMW 1 Series: E82, E88 (128i, 135i, 1M Coupe)
  • BMW 5 & 6 Series: E28, E34, E39, E60 (525i, 528i, 530i, 540i, M5), E63 / E64 (645Ci, 650i, M6)
  • BMW Z Series: Z3 (Roadster, Coupe, M), Z4 (E85, E86 3.0si, M Coupe/Roadster)
  • Other European Platforms: Lotus Elise / Exige (specifying M12x1.5 conical), vintage Porsche 924 / 944 conversions

Shank Length Options: OEM Stock (28mm) vs. Spacer Fitment (35mm)

  • 28mm Shank Length: Direct OEM factory replacement for stock wheel offsets without wheel spacers.
  • 35mm Shank Length: Extended shank length specifically intended for vehicles running 5mm to 8mm wheel slip-on spacers.

Hot-Forged Head & Rolled M12 × 1.5 Threads

Each bolt is manufactured from certified Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) titanium bar stock featuring hot-forged heads and precision CNC rolled threads. Thread rolling burnishes the root radius and maintains an uninterrupted metallic grain flow, delivering exceptional tensile strength (≥ 950–1050 MPa) and resistance to fatigue failure under heavy braking torque and track-day thermal expansion.

Installation, Anti-Seize & Torque Recommendations

Thoroughly clean wheel hub threads of all dirt and rust before mounting. Always thread each bolt by hand for at least 6.5 to 7 full rotations to verify smooth engagement into the hub before using tools. Apply a thin, uniform film of high-temperature titanium anti-seize paste or copper lubricant to the threads (keep the conical seat face dry and clean). Using a calibrated manual torque wrench with a plastic-sleeved 17mm socket, tighten in a star pattern to 110–120 N·m (81–88 lb-ft). Re-check torque after the first 100 km (60 miles). Never use pneumatic or electric impact wrenches.
